It's Not About Me

It's Not About Me

Last night I energetically connected with the land I serve in Costa Rica. @haciendadelsolcr

I have laughed, cried, bled, danced, drummed, and sang there.

There, I have had my highest highs and my lowest lows. And She has held me through some of the deepest initiations of my life.

There, I’ve learned there what it means to be a ceremonialist, what it means to be a leader, and what it means to be a woman.

I’ve created some of my deepest human connections through that land.

There, my body heals naturally. Just by being there - eating her food, drinking her juice, and resting in her jungle - I feel more of myself, beautiful and feminine and strong.

I am in awe of the power of her medicine of nourishment for my nervous system - before I even had conscious awareness of it.

And I have never had to do anything but open to receive it.

Last night, when we connected, I asked her how I can best serve her, what do I need to DO, and she transmitted this message to me:

“Just remember, it’s not about you.”

I felt like I was in a ceremony as my heart started to open to her power. I received the embodied frequency of true service. It was so soft and gentle. Just like the land.

I am here in service to her. SHE does it. She always has.

And this is not about my ego getting something it wants.

Or what it says about me.

Or even about me making a difference.

It is about the exquisite honor of being in service to her.

It is about the tender honor of ministering every human priest and priestess that her frequency calls in with her essence, in reverence to their desire for re-connecting with theirs.

And about honoring her with offerings and prayer and asking to deeply serve from the connected wisdom of my blood bones body and spirit.

It is an awesome responsibility. One that would clobber me if I thought my very tiny human had to do it.

It was such a beautiful adjustment. And such a relief. A giggle started to rise.

It’s not about me at all. It never has been.

That is written in the soul contract of each person she works with. All that is needed is my devotion and commitment.

This work doesn’t serve ego - least of all my own, it is in service to Essence.
